14 Hills of Kirkland!

Today I rode another century. 100 Miles in a day. This ride was billed as a very difficult ride. It WAS difficult and challenging, but it didn’t beat me to a pulp. I feel pretty good. (We will see how I feel tomorrow.) This is the hill profile from the organizers of the event. My […]

Something I would definitely purchase!

http://www.theaircar.com/   What an unbelievably cool idea.  This concept would work for over 90% of the driving that I do.  The concept behind these cars is a very good idea and has a large number of benefits over my "other" favorite technology of hydrogen. We live in intersting times!

Jinx?

I’ve been hovering at about 210 +/- 3 for the last few weeks.  Some day when I get a chance I will publish the last couple of months of data that I have accumulated about my morning and evening weights.  I normally start the day about 3-4 pounds lighter than I end the day!  It […]

Century One Postmortem…

Now that a couple of days have passed I can comment more fully on how my body responded to riding a full 100 miles in one day. I feel pretty good. The ride didn’t over tax my system and it didn’t wipe me out. I was almost expecting that it would have been too much […]

Skagit Spring Classic 2007

Today I road 100 miles on my bicycle. My average was 16.5 miles per hour and this isn’t too bad considering the hills and the head winds! I feel pretty good right now and the ride wasn’t overly taxing. This is a far cry from the last couple of centuries that I did. It was […]

Always someone better!

I have been feeling pretty good about my prowess on the bike of late. I am doing well. Some of it is definitely because of the equipment. A lot has to do with my fitness. Today I was pushing hard up a hill passing a number of other commuters in the process when an older […]

Image Changing

About 9 months ago, I started the 20/20 Lifestyles Program offered by the Pro Sports Club in Bellevue, WA. At that time, I weighed in at a hefty 328 pounds. In July, I was at 338 and earlier last year even heavier. I am not 100% certain of my maximum fatness because most scales stop […]
