Never a feather…. October 6, 2006 at 11:25 am

All the dieticians for the program are attending a conference in the city of sin. Lucky people! It’s been a few years from the last time I visited Las Vegas. I wouldn’t say it is my favorite place to go on vacation, but it has its charms. I bring this up because my weight measurement this week is “unofficial.” I used the same scale, but it is only MY word that says what my weight is. Given the formula that is normally used I am at 280 this week. My weight is just a fraction under 280 when nearly naked, so I have faith in the general formula that is applied to the weight of my clothing. Two more pounds and the 20/20 Lifestyles program will have helped me shed 50 pounds. That is HUGE. I am still HUGE, but not nearly as much as I was before. I am now getting into the territory of weight that I was at 6+ years ago.

In a couple of weeks I will have my ten week review with the physician. That is scheduled for the 23rd. It is all good!

I still love cooking. I find that I feel better AND lose the most weight when I am in full control of my diet. I think this directly related to the fact that my calorie count is much more accurate. My pots and pans had seen better days so I’ve been looking for a new set. A couple of weeks ago I made chili and I needed a large pot. I really liked one I saw at Sam’s club, however a 24 quart pot would be a bit much in my kitchen. So I ventured over to Bed Bath & Beyond and found a 12 quart pot that I really like. I decided that I would by the rest of the set. I’ve been waiting for a coupon from B3 and today a co-worker brought one in for me! Woot… I like to save money and 20% off of a $500 purchase is nothing to sneeze at! I am not even certain I will wait until this weekend to exercise my right to spend money. :)
